Does Amazon Spain sell the Midea PortaSplit?

Yes, the Midea PortaSplit 12,000 BTU / 3.5 kW (model MMCS-12HRN8-QRD0) has a page on Amazon.es. It is the same no-works split with a heat pump the climate shops sell: it cools in summer, heats in winter and needs no fixed installation.

As across the rest of Spain, the problem is not finding the page, it is finding it in stock at a normal price. On Amazon availability comes and goes, and much of what you see when it is scarce comes from third-party sellers, not Amazon directly. Before buying, look at two things: who is selling and at what price relative to normal.

Why AireRadar does not track Amazon (and what that means for you)

We are upfront about this: AireRadar does not watch Amazon or alert you to its restocks, and it is not out of laziness. The terms of Amazon’s affiliate programme forbid using its data for stock alerts. We respect that rule, so Amazon is off our radar by deliberate choice, not by a bug.

Sold by Amazon vs third-party seller: the difference that matters

On the same Amazon page you can buy from different sellers, and they are not the same:

• "Sold and shipped by Amazon": Amazon’s own stock, with its usual logistics and returns, normally at the most reasonable price.
• Third-party seller (marketplace): an external seller using the platform. It can be perfectly legitimate, but in the thick of scarcity this is where inflated prices well above normal appear.

The normal price band for the PortaSplit across monitored Spanish shops has been about €990 to €1,234 this season. If an Amazon offer is well above that, it is almost certainly a third party exploiting the urgency: in that case, it usually pays to wait for a normal-price restock rather than overpay.

How to watch Amazon yourself

Since we do not do it for you on Amazon, here is the practical way to stay on top of it without refreshing the page every hour:

• Save the page to a wish list and turn on Amazon notifications for that product; some pages offer a "notify me" button for when it is back in stock.
• Note what the "sold by Amazon" price is when you see it, so you can recognise at a glance when a third-party offer is inflated.
• Use an independent price history (third-party tools such as Keepa or CamelCamelCamel show how an Amazon page’s price has moved) so you do not fall for a rise dressed up as a deal.
• Ignore artificial urgency: "only 2 left" at a very high third-party price is almost never worth it versus waiting a few days.
